Several weeks ago, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom at my school. That only meant one thing: photo shoot time! My roommate Seiko and I enjoy “seasonal” roommate shoots (except we’ve only had one in the fall), but the beautiful, pink cherry blossoms were the perfect spring photo shoot backdrop. Below, I shared a few of my favorite shots!
Blogging has been a really cool way for me to read people’s stories from all over the world, connect & exchange ideas with other bloggers, and learn a variety of useful tips. One of these tips was to visit the LA Arts District when in LA. Based on this neighborhood guide,
“Laden with street art, brick walls, bridges and mostly empty streets, the landscape of the neighborhood makes for the perfect photo shoot. Wander for ten minutes in any given direction and you’re bound to end up photo bombing someone’s ad campaign or Instagram.”
So of course I wanted to go take a look! Here’s what I saw:
This was taken during a self-portrait photoshoot last Thanksgiving. I wanted to challenge myself to take more “expressive” self portraits, and I think this fulfills this week’s WPC quite nicely. View more shots from my photoshoot: Girl in Field.
It’s exactly what it sounds like – a garden in the middle of a city! Only this is a sculpture garden, and one particular sculpture drew the attention of my friend who really, really wanted to go “see the bunnies,” aka large, white, marshmallow-looking rabbit statues:
