St. Louis Graffiti Wall

It’s been a while since I’ve ventured around St. Louis! Thankfully that was remedied last weekend when a couple of adventurous buddies and I visited a graffiti wall down by the Gateway Arch. Plenty of talented graffiti artists have made their mark (and unfortunately plenty of non-talents have too) on the mile-long flood wall by the riverfront. In fact, it’s the only legal place to graffiti in St. Louis! We didn’t walk the entire mile (2 miles?), but even then, I scored plenty of colorful photos. Anyone who likes art would appreciate this place:

Signs of Spring

I think I am enamored by spring in the Midwest. While every one moans and groans about how much our school spends on landscaping each year, there’s no denying that they do a spankin’ job of beautifying campus. Since the flowers have bloomed and the tulips have been planted, I thought it would be a great time to break out my gigantic macro lens! I got it a while ago, but really haven’t used it as much as I thought I would. Here are some results of my attempts:

Spring Fever

Several weeks ago, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom at my school. That only meant one thing: photo shoot time! My roommate Seiko and I enjoy “seasonal” roommate shoots (except we’ve only had one in the fall), but the beautiful, pink cherry blossoms were the perfect spring photo shoot backdrop.
