The High Line

In my previous Chelsea Market post, I mentioned the High Line. It is a “1-mile New York City linear park built on a 1.45-mile section of the elevated former New York Central Railroad spur called the West Side Line,” according to Wikipedia 😉

I thought I’d give this place more justice and share photos from the time my buddy Cal took me on May 25.

I am so lucky to have seen this place during the magical time of day when the sun is low in the sky and casts a gorgeous glow on everything, what photographers call golden hour.

Let’s not forget all the plants that are up here. The fusion of industrialistic elements with nature makes this place one-of-a-kind.
